Read to Executive Order on the Tennessee Secretary of State website.
Tennessee Executive Order No. 107, among other suspensions of Tennessee law, suspends certain provisions of the Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA), Title 56, and related rules, granting the Commissioner of Commerce and Insurance the authority to direct Tennessee-licensed insurance companies to make reasonable efforts to assist policyholders affected by the severe weather and flooding.
For more information on the DOI’s expectations of licensed insurers during the state of emergency, see Tennessee Bulletin 2024-03, issued on September 30, 2024, regarding flood recovery.
